The Food Pantry has no paid employees. All money received by the Pantry is used for food and essentials for our customers, or to pay for overhead such as heating, lights, appliances and other such things that are required to fulfill our mission. All financial donations are tax deductible.

How to Volunteer Your Time

Several tasks require volunteer help. Generally, volunteers are organized into teams that:
  • Set up tables and chairs each Wednesday and put them away at the end of the day
  • Collect, weigh, and record the type of items donated
  • Examine all food and dispose of outdated and spoiled food
  • Check in and take customer orders
  • Place ordered items into bins that are transferred to the customer's container
  • Pick up food deposited in each of the five local containers
  • Pick up food donations from commercial donors and deliver it to the Food Pantry

In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, this institution (Cannon Beach Food Pantry) is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, or disability.
