Our History

Cannon Beach seems like an unlikely place for a food pantry. In 2009 the need was clear and a variety of community partners came together and established the Cannon Beach Food Pantry which opened on April 15, 2009.

An infrastructure has been built in Cannon Beach to support operations. Donation jars are located in many of Cannon Beach's businesses. Food donation barrels are located at the Columbia and the Library, and at Cannon Beach Community Church. Food is also acquired through purchase and large business donors.

The Cannon Beach Food Pantry is a non-profit, tax deductible organization with an all volunteer staff and board of directors. 100% of all cash is used to purchase food and essentials for customers and to support overhead expenses.
